Phoebe Litchfield Honored as ICC Emerging Women's Cricketer of the Year 2023

Australian cricketer Phoebe Litchfield has been recognized as the ICC Emerging Women's Cricketer of the Year for 2023, following a series of remarkable performances across all formats.

The 20-year-old left-handed batter from Orange, New South Wales, made significant strides in her international career throughout 2023. She debuted in the Women's T20 International (WT20I) arena in December 2022 and quickly progressed to the One Day International (ODI) and Test formats.

In ODIs, Litchfield accumulated 485 runs in 12 innings, averaging 53.88 with a strike rate of 81.92. Her standout performances included an unbeaten 106 against Ireland and two not-out half-centuries against Pakistan. Additionally, she contributed 87 runs in two Test matches and 88 runs in three T20Is during the year.

Expressing her gratitude, Litchfield stated, "I’m thrilled to be named the ICC Emerging Women’s Cricketer of the Year. It’s an honour to be nominated alongside incredible cricketers and I’d like to extend my congratulations to all award nominees."
