In a commanding performance, the Phoenix Suns triumphed over the Washington Wizards with a 130-123 win. Devin Booker led the charge, delivering 37 points, while Kevin Durant contributed 23 points. Rookie Ryan Dunn impressed with a double-double, recording 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Grayson Allen added 21 points off the bench. The Suns showcased efficient shooting, hitting 51.8% from the field and 47.1% from beyond the arc.
The game began with Phoenix establishing dominance, initiating an 11-0 run and extending their lead to 20 points in the second quarter. Despite a formidable 40-point fourth quarter from the Wizards, narrowing the gap to three points, Booker's timely three-pointer and clutch free throws secured the Suns' victory.
Washington's rookie, Kyshawn George, achieved a season-high 24 points, including six three-pointers. Jordan Poole added 18 points, and rookie Alexandre Sarr contributed 16 points and nine rebounds. The Wizards, however, faced their eighth consecutive loss.
Notably absent for the Suns were Bradley Beal, due to a left ankle sprain, and Jusuf Nurkic, missing his fifth straight game because of the flu. New acquisition Nick Richards was held out in anticipation of his debut on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons.
This victory marks the Suns' fourth win in five games, bringing their season record to 20-20. The Wizards, conversely, continue to seek solutions as their losing streak extends.
