MIUI 8 Global Stable Started Rolling Out

Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 8 out now, devices eligible for the OTA updates can check for the update. It was actually schedule to release on august 16 but later postponed to 23rd. The MIUI teams announced that initially only few devices will get these updates and soon other will get the updates. However, some xiaomi users got the update way before the official release. To get this update the consumer to need open the “updater” app in xiaomi devices and check the availability via OTA, if not you can also download and install MIUI 8 global stable ROM.

The official MIUI forum released a list of devices which supports MIUI 8 namely “Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S/Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 5, Mi Note, Mi Max 32GB”.  On the same page the early devices which get the update on the release day are mentioned those are RedMi 1S, Mi 2/2s, Mi 4i, RedMi Note 3G/4G. All the remaining device which supports MiUi will soon get the update via OTA.

New Features & Updates in MIUI 8

MiUi developers introduced new features in this updates which are promising to users. The update brings features like scrolling screen shots/ long screen shots, redesigned calculator with integrated support for almost any conversion, Quick ball- for quick controls with just two fingers, new gallery, photos cloud sync, duap apps – to use any app with dual sign in like using whatsapp with two mobile numbers, second space- which creates another environment or another window for users who wants to keep things clear like private and public usage, video editing- now you can add filters, text, background music to the videos using the video editing option in the update. Apart from these there are many tweaks done to the existing functions under the hood.
